History of the Growth Network:
 2006 WOSM started the Growth Project. 8 National Scout and Guide Organisation were selected to take part in this Project. With it we tried to achieve the recognition of the issues of membership growth and development. With this project we wanted to find different factors, which affects growth and to show best practices, which might be helpful for other NSOs as well.
In the Joint European Conference 2007 in Slovenia, the delegates voted to have a joint Growth Network for the next Triennium.
So, we started with the Joint Growth Network in May 2008 in Portugal, continued with the next Growth Network meetings in Finland, Helsinki in autumn 2008 and in spring 2009 in Denmark.
The Future:
WAGGGS and WOSM are working hard to have successful Growth Network every time it takes place. WAGGGS and WOSM would like to see the Growth Network growing and more and more MOs and NSOs joining the network.
We would like to motivate you to think about, if there might be other factors for Growth as well as the factors we identified in the Growth Project.
